Lighting for Black and White Part 2

For my second attempt I decided to go with a three point light setup. I have used this for colour before but wondered what it would look like for black and white. Unlike for the coloured ones though, I adjusted the power of the speedlights at different strengths in the stripboxes. I like the gritty look it gives especially to black and whites. Below is the setup and the camera settings.

For the final edit I dropped in a textured background in post. Below you can see the SOOC in colour.

I find this lighting setup produces a nice gritty, and dynamic portrait. I also added a little grain in post to enhance the look.
